Summary and Highlights of Goal Achievement
 
Implement teaching innovation and improve teaching quality
Curriculum innovation and implementation of innovative teaching: Continuing Education Academy held 7 innovative teaching workshops, gave counsel to teachers for improving curriculum teaching plans, and awarded for 19 innovative teaching courses in total. In the Cross-Strait Innovation and Infiltration Teaching Seminar, a total of 10 essays were published. In addition, we applied for 9 cases of teaching practice and research projects in the 110 schooling years. Of all 25 deep bowl courses, 8 courses are license counseling programs; above all, the examination rate of automobile and motorcycle licenses at level B and C has reached more than 50%.

Enhance students' professional and practical ability: Tungnan University has the largest site for skill certification and certification examination in the North District. We conduct professional skills training with credible certification standards and subsidize students to participate in professional competitions outside the school. A total of 31 gold medals, 33 silver medals, 32 bronze medals, and 81 special prizes were awarded in 2020. Among the prizewinners, in “The 50th National Skills Competition” and “The 46th International Skills competition for National Champion Selection”, Chen Guanwei from the Department of Mechanical Engineering won one gold medal in the category of industrial machinery maintenance and Zhang Jiaying from the Department of Digital Game Design won one gold medal in the 3D Digital Game Art category. In addition, Chen Yingjia from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Chen Meiyue from the Department of Tourism participating in the "2020 16th Light of Skills"-- International Skills Competition were awarded the "Technical Excellence Award" by the Minister of Education because of outstanding performance.

Enhance students' cross-domain learning ability: We fully implement the policy of freshmen’s taking cross-domain curriculum to enable them to engage in multi-faceted learning. There were 23 micro-credit programs offered for students to take; totally 1,306 students registered for these courses. Moreover, there were 12 sets of cross-domain practical projects completed from students, all of which were ready for the competition.
Cultivate students' innovative and entrepreneurial spirit: In the training camp for cultivating counseling teachers of innovation and entrepreneurship, 5 teachers have obtained the business planning manager certificate. There were 1,243 people taking courses related to business entrepreneurship. In the "2020 National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition", a total of 37 teams constituted by students participated in the competition. We won the first prize and excellent work. Moreover, in the competition of commercialization of student works, one piece was awarded a gold medal in the IIIC International Innovation and Invention Competition.

Develop school characteristics
Taking root in professional practice: 1,436 students completed professional practice (off-campus) internship courses.
International communication: In addition to the campus activities of cross-cultural communication on the International Culture Day, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee and we jointly held the "109 North District Overseas Chinese Students Orientation Garden Tour". More than thousands of overseas Chinese students from all schools in the North District get together in our campus.
Development of senior industry courses: We constructed the exhibition space of the senior smart home and held 3 relevant workshops. Students participated in the "13th Creative Competition for the Fantasy Nest of the Future-Smart Residential Space" held by the Institute of Architecture of the Ministry of the Interior and won 1 set of masterpiece. In addition, 4 LOHAS industry cultivation courses were arranged for the seniors, with 118 senior students taking these courses. On December 31, the tasting presentation was scheduled for them to try the 28 dishes for the silver hair group.  

Enhance the publicity of advanced education
Improve the assistance mechanism for underprivileged students: 1,610 students were counseled and financially subsidized.
Establish an Indigenous Student Resource Center: we create a database for the enrollment, suspension, and withdrawal of 148 Indigenous students and actively provide assistance for life adaptation and counseling service.
School affairs research and professional management: According to analysis of factors, freshmen are recruited mainly through screening and recommendation, followed by individual admission. We set up an admissions office and build strategic alliance with 30 senior high schools and vocational schools for improving the effectiveness of diverse cross- school activities. This admission strategy benefits an increase of the school registration rate in the next academic year.

Fulfill social responsibility
Assist local development and enhance the substantial contribution and value of universities: We develop 10 professional courses which integrate into service learning, using USR plan to drive teachers and students to conduct in-depth surveys and interviews in Shenkeng, Shiding, Pingxi fields and so forth. These curriculum activities improve the current situation and enhance the community leisure industry. We make videos as guide films featuring a series of local humanities and created God of Wealth and Tiger Lord as local representative characters. We assisted the Tourism and Tourism Bureau of New Taipei City Government to collect industrial data and work out analysis of the Southern Tamlan Old Trail. Through a series of the curriculum named the "Tamlan Old Trail (Shiding and Pingxi Area) Silver Hair Friendly Leisure Revitalization", we invite local businesses to experience the silver hair services, promote Tamlan sustainable cultural education, revitalize silver hair friendly leisure, and really improve local innovated development.
